Who we are and what we do
For over 30 years our team of 26 qualified craftsmen at Vanguard Caravans have established an excellent reputation for building quality custom and contract manufactured caravans and 5th Wheelers for our 8 Dealers around the nation.
We have a separate division that builds special order 5th Wheelers from 28ft to 44ft and Toy-Haulers from 19ft6in to 21ft to exacting customer specifications and applications.
Our Expertise
We have qualified Mechanical Engineers, Cabinet Makers, Furniture Makers, Electricians and Welding/Metal Fabricators who are skilled in every facet of RV Manufacturing from the Chassis Construction to the final Pre-Delivery Stage.
We have a number of Computerised Numerical Controlled (CNC) Machines that ensure the repetition of accuracy and quality with each fabricated and manufactured component.

Vanguard Caravans’ commitment to Quality Assurance is demonstrated by having achieved the elitist level of Global Certification Status for maintaining our Business Management Processes and Procedures according to world standards through Global Certification Pty. Ltd. Certification Achieved – AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 and further compliance to AS/NZS ISO14001:2004 for our environmental management system. Our Manufacturing and Engineering Controls are still setting the benchmark standards for Quality and Ethical Standards in the Recreational Vehicle Industry.
Our Quality Assurance Certification is audited 3 times a year to ensure we maintain stringent control of our Business Management Systems.

- National LPG Gas Certification
- National Electrical Safety Standards Certificate – (Commercial)
- Public Weighbridge Certificate – (“Tamper-proof documentation” - what you see on the print-out docket is what your caravan actually weighs….. not what some people tell you the weight is.)

Our Customer Support and Service is available through a reliable network of Nation-Wide Dealers and Service Agents. All Vanguard products carry a 12 month manufacturers Factory Warranty with an ‘Extended Warranty’ also available on request from your Dealer.
